• The Financial Aid Office will certify the Parent Plus Loan for you electronically when your student's financial aid file is complete. We are electronically linked to the following lenders: Fifth Third Bank, Chase, Student Loan Funding, Bank of America, Citizen's, PNC, Sallie Mae Education Loan Trust, and Nellie Mae.
• New loan applications will be certified after July 15, each year.
• New loan applications should be completed no later than August 10, for the fall semester or December 20, for the spring semester in order to ensure that loan funds are available on the day after drop/add.
• PLUS loans cannot be certified until the Financial Aid Office has received the Parent Loan PLUS Information Form.
• If you wish to use a lender not listed above, our electronic process will not be fully available to you. You will need to know your lender code and will need to enter it in the MPN in Open Net for WVSU Parents or Open Net for WVSCTC Parents. Your loan funds will come to the school via paper check.
