General Info:
Disbursement of federal and state financial aid funds to your student account will occur once the Office of Student Financial Assistance has completed determination of your eligibility for funds and authorized the Office of Fiscal Affairs to apply payments to your student account. The Disbursement Office applies financial aid payments to your charges, such as tuition and fees, calculates the difference between what you owe the school and the amount of your financial aid, requests funds and prints and mails checks.
Disbursement is always the day after add/drop closes for the semester. If you have turned in all requested documentation by the published deadline dates and completed all promissory notes for student and parent loans your aid will be disbursed on the scheduled date. Money owed to WVSU/WVSCTC will be deducted from financial aid funds and the difference checks will be mailed to your local address within 10 working days. To determine the date your check change was created, you may check your account under Account Summary on My State
Please allow ten working days from your disbursement date before calling the Disbursement Office about your funds. You may contact the Disbursement Office at (304)766-3275.
If you have questions regarding the application of payments, from other third parties, to your student account you may check your account under Account Summary on My State. You may contact the Cashier’s Office about these payments at (304)766-3141
